| WHY MUST I ? |
CREATE QUALITY TIME FOR YOUR BEST SHOTS
If someone told you to stand in a field for 5 hours in scorching heat or freezing cold you would probably respond in the negative. These tips are not to make you rush your shots but to be efficient at all other places on the course so that you are not rushed in the quality time you spend executing your golf shots.USE THE PULL-DOWN MENUS TO FIND OUT HOW
HOW LONG ?
The five hour golf round is enough to make even compulsive golfers think about giving up the habit.
In the heyday of club golf in Scotland the yardstick was
2-ball = 2hours 30 mins
3-ball = 3 hours 10 minutes
4-ball = just under 4 hours
Obviously these times depend slightly on the weather conditions and the exact type of play,
(matchplay, medal or Stableford scoring etc.) but these targets are now a thing of the past as club hackers and professionals seem to need an eternity to knock a small ball round a big field.
SLOW?..... ME ?
Golfers do not like being accused of "slow play". Amateurs and professionals feel aggrieved that their actions may be to the detriment of all the other players on the course.Hence there are often arguments about the topic and officials resort to timing equipment to reinforce their cases. However this is a last resort and the tips given here can prevent such animosity, especially for amateur and recreational players.
